This allows us to store excess renewable energy generated during peak periods and use it when demand is high, addressing the intermittency challenge. These advancements are transforming the energy landscape and paving the way for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Kenji Tanaka: Governments have a critical role to play. They can incentivize renewable energy development through tax credits, subsidies, and feed-in tariffs. Furthermore, governments can invest in research and development to advance renewable energy technologies and create new jobs in the green economy. Kenji Tanaka: I think the most common misconception is that renewable energy is not reliable or that it’s somehow less effective than traditional energy sources. While there are legitimate grid-scale integration challenges when shifting to renewables, these are solvable. And as technology continues to advance and diversify, that problem shrinks more and more each day. Solar and wind power are both now very sophisticated forms of energy generation with ever-increasing efficiencies.
